SB 1383 is unlike any other recycling law in California’s history. Not only will it be necessary to expand waste collection services throughout the City, but it will also require the City to alter operations, adopt specific purchasing policies, amend the City’s Municipal Code, enact building and permitting requirements, and assume enforcement responsibilities once held by CalRecycle.

These changes are expansive and require significant coordination. The City of Vacaville and Recology Vacaville Solano are working together to develop an SB 1383 program(s) that will meet the numerous requirements of the law.
