RESIDENTIAL ORGANIC WASTE

Residential organic waste collection is provided to customers that reside within the city limits of Vacaville. Residential customers receive one 96 gallon green yard waste cart.

Organic waste is used in a number of recycling processes, such as composting. Green waste recycling produces rich compost which can be used by local residents and farmers, rather than going to waste in a landfill.

Please contact Recology Vacaville Solano for more information.

*Leisure Town residents may not have all services available.

ORGANIC & GREEN WASTE

Please keep your lawn tidy and our streets and storm drains free of debris. Put leaves and other yard trimmings in your green bin for weekly pickup. And don't forget - you can also put fruit and vegetable scraps in your green bin.

It's especially important not to blow or rake leaves into the street. Leaves can conceal substantial objects, such as rocks or hubcaps, resulting in dangerous driving conditions and can clog storm drains, creating flooding that can make cars stall or disrupt steering. Leaves in the street may also entice children to play in the streets, jeopardizing their safety. This is also a good time to make sure your landscaping service doesn't blow or rake your leaves into the street. Homeowners are responsible for ensuring that they either haul the yard waste away or use the homeowner’s green bin.

If you have extra yard waste, you may place it in 32-gallon garbage cans with handles and a lid. Sticks and branches may be bundled (not to exceed 2' x 3') and placed alongside the container. You also may request additional yard waste bins from Recology Vacaville Solano at (707) 448-2945. Recology Vacaville Solano will deliver the additional bins to your address for a small monthly fee, and it can be returned at any time.

Help us keep our Vacaville neighborhoods safe and free of tree debris. Put leaves in your green bin each week.
